Jennifer has been training working dogs since 2001 in a variety of areas including search and rescue, service dogs for the disabled and detection dogs for government agencies. She is a NAPWDA and IPWDA certified search dog handler for live find, human remains and evidence search. Ms. Prentiss is a longtime member of Canine Aided Emergency Search and Rescue and has been deployed in wilderness and disaster situations with her dogs Ripley and Gus. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge Assessed. She has also professionally handled dogs for narcotic and pest detection. Ms. Prentiss has training and certification in First Aid, CPR, HAZMAT Operations, Blood Borne Pathogens, Map and Compass Navigation, GPS Operations, Canine Trauma Care, FEMA Canine Search Specialist, APCO Radio Operations and Emergency Medical Dispatch.
